Walk the Weir
Sat, March 22 10am-1:30pm • Saywell Park • Free
Explore the weir on Lake Cowichan! Join us for a fascinating tour where you’ll learn how this vital structure supports the environment, regulates water flow, and protects fish populations—and why it’s in need of updates.

Tours will depart from the shelter at 10am, 11am, and 12:30pm. Please meet in the picnic shelter by the Info Centre washrooms. Be sure to dress warmly (layers are recommended) as it can be cold on the weir.

Check this Facebook Event link for more information or contact us. This event is co-hosted by the Cowichan Watershed Board and the Cowichan Lake and River Stewardship Society. Access to the weir and shelter are provided in-kind from Domtar/Catalyst and the Town of Lake Cowichan. Thank you!
