We have rescheduled the meeting! Please join us July 14 for the final presentation.
Our June 16th meeting platform Link (WebEx) failed us last night. We have used the same set up for the past 2 years without issue, however, last night it simply did not work and we could not get it resolved in time to continue. Our apologies for any inconvenience this caused to those wishing to participate.
We recorded the presentation so that we can at least share the information for now. We will reschedule the presentation for a later date so that we can have question and answer periods as planned. Notification will be sent out.
To help you follow the conversation, more information is available on the Shoreline Assessment page.
If you weren’t able to join us in November for the project update, the presentation is available to view here.
The results of the Shoreline Assessment related to properties will be available in the Property View Tool on June 17, 2022. Visit the Property View Tool page for more information.
The final Shoreline Assessment Reports will be available on this website once they are complete. We will update this page with the link to the reports later this spring.

We will answer questions during the live presentation on June 16, 2022.
Can you provide a comparison of the water level scale used on this website, and the water level scale used on Canadian Government Data Graph 08HA009? Would be very helpful. Also, has 08HA009 been updated to reflect new datum as you indicated last year? I can’t find that on the government site. Thanks very much.
The historic data and the current Government Data graph 08HA009 are based on CGVD28 (adopted in 1935). They have not update the 08HA009 Data graph.
This project is using the updated CGVD2013 Datum. The difference at Cowichan Lake is +0.20m.
Has the presentation started? I can’t get in.

What is going on with the online meeting?
Technical difficulties that’s why the meeting should be open to in person public meeting.
Our meeting platform failed last night and we could not get it resolved in time. Apologies.
Many of the lake front property owners do not live at the property. This gives everyone equal access to attend. We also received good attendance at the previous virtual meetings and thought it a good idea to continue with that format. It also keeps meeting costs down.
