A summary report documenting the 8-month planning process carried out by the Public Advisory Group (PAG) for the Cowichan Water Use Plan (WUP) is now available.
The report provides the PAG’s recommendations for new water control infrastructure, changes to how water control facilities are operated, and new studies and other conditions to ensure water resources are sustainable and available to better meet the region’s current and future water use requirements.

The public is invited to attend an open house and information meeting to learn more about the Cowichan Water Use Plan planning process and recommendations for water supply and storage options for the Cowichan Lake and River system.
The event will be held on Monday, June 11 at the Upper Centennial Hall in Lake Cowichan. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with presentation and Q&A period starting at 7:00 pm.
